Birth of spring II
I dreamed that, as I wandered by the way,
Bare Winter suddenly was changed to Spring,
And gentle odours led my steps astray,
Mixed with a sound of waters murmuring
From the poem 'The Question' by Percy Bysshe Shelley
A warm winter, a few sunny days, early in the morning, the rising sun just above the hills, a cold lake where a veil of fog rises ...
These are the ingredients for a triptych, made a few weeks ago from the sloping land bordering the western bank of the Visby Bredning, a part of the Limfjord, North Jutland, Denmark.
It was such a rare moment in which you see the color palette of an almost snowless, too warm winter, suddenly transition into the palette of the early spring.
This part of Denmark is known for its beautiful light and nordic colors, and therefore is and has been for many years a great inspiration for my abstract landscape photos.
