Long walks in nature and to remote places are my source of inspiration. A series of ink drawings is dedicated to the magic of trees, roots and silent places in forest. Elegant shapes of roots, branches and stones are designed in black and white. Light and shadows are modeled by using thin lines and delicate hatching.

The drawing shows an old, graceful tree growing on the sandstone. It is located at the top of the Lilienstein mountain in Saxon Switzerland (Germany). I associate Saxon Switzerland with wonderful memories of intense hikes and impressive views of the vast landscape. The original drawing as well as fine art prints and canvas prints are available.
